Internship Experience
Digital Editorial Intern at Dr. Oz The Good Life (Hearst Digital Media), New York, NY
While working as an intern with the digital team of the Hearst magazine Dr. Oz The Good Life, I performed various tasks including:
-Contribute, write, and edit healthy living articles and galleries consistent with the site’s brand
-Build and edit digital and print articles on Hearst’s CMS system, MediaOS
-Assist the digital team with various editorial tasks to cover the latest health news and trends
For each article I pitched news articles, researched the subject, wrote the article, compiled images and links to any sources, built the article in Hearst's CMS system (MediaOS), and added inline links to other Dr. Oz digital stories.

Beginning May 2017, I began to assist the Good Housekeeping/ House Beautiful web team in an internship capacity. Samples of my articles written for their brands can be found here.
For each article, I pitched trending news stories, thoroughly researched the subject, wrote up articles and galleries, compiled images and inline links, and built in MediaOs.

During Winter/Spring 2016 as a Spring Travel Writer for College Tourist, I performed various tasks including:
-Write bimonthly articles about studying abroad and promote work on social media

During Fall 2015 during my internship at Absolutely Magazines, I performed various editorial tasks including:
-Research and write content for the What's On section for upcoming events
-Write and brainstorm copy
-Source images

Home Editorial Intern for Good Housekeeping, New York City
During Summer 2015 as I interned for the Home department at Good Housekeeping magazine, I performed various tasks including:
-Organized and collaborated on content ideas and photo shoots for the Home department of the magazine
-Researched new trends for potential features and searching the magazine archives for old pieces for upcoming stories
-Crafted new DIY projects
-Gathered and found props for upcoming shoots and organize them for ease of use
-Organized the Home closet and packed/unpacked props for storage and for future shoots
-Assisted the Home Editors on set at photo shoots for cover images and inside spreads

Every morning, I would begin my workday be compiling a list of new links, pertaining to home decor, new products and new interviews.

Social Media Intern & Blogger for Women Empowered, Los Angeles
During Summer 2014, I served as a Social Media Intern for Women Empowered, where I maintained a biweekly blog via Wordpress. I also worked to enhance the organization's social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.
